... Prevent abuse of our legal system

Given that the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings has dismissed the latest Republican Party of Minnesota's complaint against Independence Party Candidate Tom Horner, let's revisit the RPM's 2010 party platform, Section 6:

Section 6 – Strengthen the Rule of Law
We support limiting the power of attorneys and frivolous lawsuits, increasing the responsibility of the jury, protecting judicial elections and holding judges accountable to strengthen the rule of law and prevent abuse of our legal system.

Limit Frivolous Lawsuits

Republicans believe that the legal system has been subject to abuse and in order to prevent this from occurring in the future, we seek to limit attorneys’ fees in class action lawsuits and lawsuits where the plaintiffs receive insignificant damages. Abuse includes frivolous lawsuits, excessive numbers of lawsuits and lawsuits that are intended primarily to advance a political agenda.

(Emphasis added.) But not to worry, it's not like the RPM is going to continue this useless attempt to bash one of their former supporters on the taxpayers' dime in an already overburdened court system. They know when lawsuits are baseless and would never pursue "frivolous lawsuits, excessive numbers of lawsuits and lawsuits that are intended primarily to advance a political agenda."
